Delhi – India Immerse yourself in India’s famous capital city, a bustling metropolis packed with spectacular monuments both ancient and modern. Delhi’s multidimensional nature reflects the country as whole, and has two distinctive parts. Old Delhi is home to national treasures that hark back to its Moghul and Muslim past, while New Delhi reveals its more colonial British past. The Red Fort is one of the cities greatest attractions, a fantastic ancient sandstone citadel built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, who also built the Taj Mahal. Jama Masjid is another breath-taking wonder, a beautiful, near 400 year old Mosque. It is India’s largest, and can accommodate an incredible 25,000 worshippers. Humayun’s tomb is another inspiring monument, an incredible Persian influenced mausoleum which floats above stunning green gardens. The Qutub complex is a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the 13th Century Slave Dynasty, and is home to several tombs and mosques.
