Itinerary

On the beach - 8 days
Six Senses Yao Noi, Koh Yao
Blissfully underdeveloped, Koh Yao Noi is one of Thailand's most unspoilt islands and the Six Senses Yao Noi is an exceptional resort ideally placed to capture the stunning scenery of this beautiful region.
Set amongst the dramatic limestone karsts, scattered islands and deserted beaches of Phang Nga Bay, the Six Senses Yao Noi embraces its incredible location with panoramic views. This oasis of barefoot luxury lies just a short speedboat ride from Phuket. The resort makes the most of its setting with a combination of natural materials, rustic architecture and a relaxed yet sophisticated style. A glass-floored restaurant hovers above a waterfall and the spa is designed in the style of a traditional Thai longhouse while at the 'Den' guests relax on comfy daybeds overlooking the tranquil lily ponds. You can relax by the hilltop infinity pool with sweeping views over the bay or on the beach. Alternatively join in one of the hotel's trips designed to help you to explore the pristine landscape. There is a choice of water sports, rock climbing on the dramatic cliffs nearby, island-hopping tours and a variety of guided cultural excursions including cycle tours along hidden pathways flanked by rubber trees.
All the villas are extremely spacious with a private pool, an outdoor relaxation area and butler service. Some villas also benefit from panoramic views across the bay.

Before the beach - 5 days
Chiang Mai
Bustling, historic and colourful, Chiang Mai is known as 'The Rose of the North'. Travel to the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam, the remnants of a former settlement dating back to the 13th century, which was abandoned in the 16th century due to flooding. Explore the ruined temples, markets and narrow alleyways by bicycle, then visit the Patara Elephant Farm to learn about elephant behaviour and their significance in Thai and Buddhist culture. Feed and bathe the elephants, then take a short trek to a local temple.
The Anantara Chiang Mai is on the banks of the Mae Ping River, an oasis of peace in central Chiang Mai. The contemporary rooms and suites have spacious balconies, and the restaurant offers fine wines and cuisines from around the world.
