Itinerary


 Day 1 UK-Toronto-Niagara

After taking Saga's included UK door-to-door travel service, fly to Toronto, and transfer to Niagara, home of the world's great natural wonders - Niagara Falls - for an two-night stay at Sheraton on the Falls (4Q).


 Day 2 Niagara Falls

Ride the Hornblower Niagara cruise to the foot of the falls, weather permitting, on an included excursion. If the weather is bad, take a 'Journey Behind the Falls'. Afternoon at leisure, tonight you are free to eat wherever you please. B


 Day 3 Niagara Falls-Huntsville

This morning you'll head for Huntsville, via Niagara-on-the-Lake, reputed to be one of the prettiest towns in Canada. This charming town at the northern end of the falls on the shores of Lake Ontario, has period houses, a museum, fort and marina. Later you'll stop at the town of St Jacob's, first settled in 1820. It is famous for its Mennonite community, its farmer's market, its artisan workshops and antique shops. Journey further into the Canadian wilderness to see deep forests, sparkling lakes and traditional Canadian settlements. Spend two nights in Huntsville, a pretty town on the edge of the Algonquin Park, at the Hidden Valley Resort (3Q+). B


 Day 4 Huntsville

Explore the beauties of the Muskoka region which is dotted with many hundreds of lakes, and swathed in deep forest. Here you can hike and canoe, as well as exploring the town of Huntsville with its log cabins and modest stone houses that date back to the late 19th century. B


 Day 5 Huntsville-Ottawa

After breakfast, head out of the wilderness travelling through beautiful Algonquin Park, home to moose, wolves and shy black bears, with a stop at the visitors centre to learn more. Move on to Canada's capital city of Ottawa, where you'll have lunch, followed by an included city tour. Ottawa is home to excellent museums and the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO protected site. Stay overnight at the Delta Ottawa City Centre Hotel (3Q+). B, L


 Day 6 Ottawa-Montreal

Head for Montreal, on arrival you can look forward to an included tour that takes in the Old Quarter, the city's oldest church Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours (admission not included), Place Jacques Cartier, Chinatown and Maison Calvet, a beautifully preserved ancestral home. Stay two nights in vibrant and cosmopolitan Montreal at the Marriott Chateau Champlain (4Q).


 Day 7 Quebec City

Today travel to Quebec City for an included full day sightseeing tour of North America's only walled city north of Mexico. Explore the 17th and 18th-century Place Royale and Petit Champlain Quarter, the Citadel and the turreted Chateau Frontenac Hotel before returning to Montreal for the evening. B


 Day 8 Montreal-Toronto

Head west out of Montreal , along the shores of Lake Ontario to Kingston for an included cruise to see the Thousand Islands of the St Lawrence River, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The islands vary from very tiny to substantial, and today's scenic cruise provides an ideal opportunity to sit back and explore them while enjoying an included lunch. After lunch continue your journey to Toronto for a two-night stay at the Chelsea Hotel (4Q). B, L


 Day 9 Toronto

On this morning's included city tour you will see the magnificent skyline for which Toronto is famed, as well as the the harbour front with its shops, cafes and galleries, and landmarks such as the CN Tower and Yorkville. Your afternoon is at leisure - perhaps enjoy shopping in the downtown area. THis evening you can look forward to an included farewell dinner. B, D


 Day 10 Toronto-UK

Morning at leisure, then transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK. B


 Day 11 UK

Arrive in the UK the following morning for your included door-to-door travel service home.
