 Day 1. Arrive Los Angeles

Arrive in the spectacular city of Los Angeles, and settle in to your room before enjoying a delightful Welcome Dinner this evening.

 Day 2. Los Angeles, Freedom of Choice Sightseeing

This morning, enjoy a tour of this iconic city. See Sunset Boulevard, Beverley Hills, Rodeo Drive, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. Later, embark on your selected Freedom of Choice Sightseeing activity. Perhaps head out on a VIP tour of the captivating Warner Bros. Studios, a landmark company that played a pivotal role in the development of motion pictures. Wander through the famous streets on replica sets, explore soundstages, and visit the various museums on site. You'll also enjoy a 'behind-the-scenes' and 'into-the-scenes' look at your favourite movies and television shows. Alternatively, explore an Original Farmers Market during a food and history walking tour. Innovative, entertaining and undeniably tempting, the Melting Pot Food Tour takes in the artisan butcher, bakers and candy makers of the markets. Wander through the seemingly endless stalls of delicious delights, including; ethnic eateries, gourmet groceries, tasty donuts and sublime homemade ice cream. A further choice is to embark on a Hollywood Behind-the-Scenes Walking Tour. Visit the locations where legendary movies were filmed, locate your favourite celebrity's star along the Walk of Fame, view the Hollywood sign, fit your hands into the prints of the stars outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and visit Awards Walk. Alternatively, take a bike tour of the movie stars' homes through Beverly Hills, Bel-Air and West Hollywood.

 Day 3. Las Vegas

This morning, take a stroll along Olvera Street, the oldest part of the city, before journeying towards the bright lights of Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert's arid basin. Known for its gambling, shopping, fine dining, and nightlife, Las Vegas is one of the world's most popular destinations and you'll enjoy a glittering night tour on arrival in this elaborate city. See the famous pirate ship of the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino and the erupting volcano of The Mirage Hotel and Casino, and enjoy the Fremont Street Experience.

 Day 4. Las Vegas

Enjoy a day to explore this fascinating city as you choose. Perhaps embark on a flight-seeing tour over the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, or visit Hoover Dam (own expense). This evening, you'll end your time in Las Vegas on a high. Enjoy dinner before being whisked away from your hotel aboard a limousine to arrive in style at Cirque du Soleil's riveting show, LOVE. Based on the music of one of the world's most iconic rock bands, you'll be transported back to the 60s with the strumming sounds of the Beatles.

 Day 5. Las Vegas, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon

Travel to the stunning Zion National Park today and journey into the main Zion Canyon. On arrival at the border of the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, board a private tram with a local ranger to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of this famed route, all the way to the Temple of Sinawava. Enjoy lunch at Zion Park Lodge before heading to the magnificent Bryce Canyon National Park, where unique rock formations of multi-hued pinnacles await. On the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau, hoodoos line a collection of giant natural amphitheatres, creating wondrous views. This evening, enjoy a Cowboy Show Dinner.

 Day 6. Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell

Head to Lake Powell, where sparkling waters snake through towering canyon walls of red-rock to produce the most spectacular effect. Enjoy a chuckwagon cookout lunch before embarking on an Antelope Canyon boat cruise through the towering Navajo Sandstone formations and marvel at the magnitude of this captivating place.

 Day 7. Monument Valley, Mesa Verde

You'll travel to the isolated plains of Monument Valley today, one of America's most recognisable landscapes.Board a Monument Valley Jeep Tour and discover the wonders of this truly epic landscape. Visit a traditional Navajo Hogan (home) where you will see a traditional rug weaving demonstration by a tribal grandmother. You'll discover the ancient arts and crafts of the local people and, exclusive to APT guests, experience authentic Navajo entertainment as you enjoy your lunch. Later, continue to Mesa Verde National Park and stop at Four Corners to stand in four states at once along the way.

 Day 8. Mesa Verde, Durango

Filled with ancient archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings, the Mesa Verde National Park was the world's first place to be awarded national park status for the purpose of preserving the works of mankind. The ancestral sites of the Puebloans, who inhabited the area for more than 700 years, are amongst the best preserved ruins in the USA. Embark on an exhilarating journey to Cliff Palace, Mesa Verde's largest cliff dwelling. Crafted from sandstone, wooden beams and mortar, this palace, with over 150 individual rooms, has been remarkably well preserved from the elements. This evening, continue to the friendly town of Durango.

 Day 9. Durango

Explore the fascinating history of Durango today. Founded by the Denver and Rio Grande Railway in 1979 as a refining town and intended rail junction for Silverton, 45 miles away, the historic railway continues to be an important part of the town. For 131 years, it has carried passengers behind vintage steam locomotives, offering a truly delightful and authentic experience. Exclusive to APT guests, step aboard a vintage steam locomotive and travel back in time as you travel from Durango to Silverton in a private first class carriage. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local historian, you will learn about the remarkable history of the narrow gauge railroad and the pioneers of the Old West as you journey past some truly fascinating and incredible scenery.

 Day 10. Pagosa Springs, Santa Fe

Travel through the San Juan National Forest to the world-famous 'healing waters' of Pagosa Springs. Bask in the glorious surrounds of soaring peaks, soothing springs and undisturbed wilderness. Continue on to the chic city of Santa Fe. Later, embark on a tour of one of Santa Fe's art districts. Be introduced to some of the local gallery owners and listen as they talk you through the highlights of each of their galleries. You may also meet one of the local artists as you explore the highlights of one of Santa Fe's most famous districts.

 Day 11. Santa Fe

This morning, board a trolley tour and wander along Canyon Road, also known as 'Artist Road'. Later, visit the Shidoni bronze foundry, to see glass blowers at work and explore the Sculpture Gardens before heading to the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, dedicated to one of the most significant artists of the 20th century.

 Day 12. Albuquerque, Winslow

Travel along the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway through the scenic heart of New Mexico. Journey through the gold mining towns of Golden, Madrid and Cerrillos to Albuquerque. Enjoy lunch at the historic El Rancho and later, continue through the Petrified Forest National Park, renowned for the significant Late Triassic fossils that were discovered here, to Winslow.

 Day 13. Route 66, Sedona, Freedom of Choice Sightseeing

Journey through Flagstaff on the way to Sedona, stopping off for a tour of the world's best preserved meteor crater impact site. Afterwards, step back in time and enjoy lunch at the authentic Galaxy Diner on the famous Route 66. On arrival in Sedona, embark on your selected Freedom of Choice Sightseeing activity. Perhaps take to the skies for a flight-seeing tour of the red rocks of Sedona aboard a helicopter. Alternatively, embark on a journey off the beaten track aboard a Pink Jeep tour. Go off-roading to gain a different perspective on the area's highlights.

Enjoy a day at leisure at Tanque Verde Ranch. Whether you wish to explore further, or simply relax and soak in the atmosphere, there is something for everyone. This evening, head down to Cottonwood Grove for an authentic ranch barbecue experience.

This morning, you have the opportunity to enjoy a Breakfast Trail Ride at Tanque Verde Ranch. Head up into the desert foothills on horseback to the Old Homestead where breakfast awaits.
