 Day 1 Arrive New York area

The first day of your tour is simply an arrival day with no pre-organised activities. You will meet your group and tour leader early the next morning.
Welcome to the east coast! Staying close to Newark International Airport, you have one night staying near the city that never sleeps. Arrive early and give yourself time to explore the famous sights of Manhattan. Admire the views from the Empire State Building, say hello to the Statue of Liberty or take a horse and carriage ride in Central Park.

 Days 2-3 Philadelphia & Washington DC

Leaving the New York area we head towards Washington DC, first stopping in Philadelphia. Head to the famous Reading Terminal Market and choose from a huge amount of different delicacies. This is a great place to try a famous Philly cheese steak, the only hard bit will be choosing which one to have! You will also have time to pose for photos on the famous 'Rocky' steps. The 72 steps at the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art are one of the most famous filming locations in the world, and are also home to a bronze statue of Rocky Balboa himself!
We continue on, covering vast distances as we head to the country's capital, Washington D.C. We arrive at the capital of the United States, Washington D.C. You could spend days here discovering the capital but you will have to cram it all in. From the White House to Capitol Hill and The Mall's many memorials, the city is bursting with history. We make it easy on you by including a guided biking tour to learn about the different monuments, who they were built by and dedicated to.

 Day 4 Appalachian Mountains

It's time to get out of the city on a long drive to the Appalachian Mountains. Driving through Virginia, admire the lush green slopes and scenic views. We may have time to enjoy a short hike through the famous forests, keeping an eye out for wildlife like Black Bear and deer.

 Day 5 Ocoee

From epic hiking to white-water rafting, it's time now to explore the state of Tennessee. Grab a paddle and try some thrilling rafting opportunities in Ocoee, famous for holding the world's first Olympic white-water event in 1996.

 Day 6 Nashville

From line-dancing to the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum, Nashville will be sure to get your toes tapping. Watch a live band or two in one of the many honky-tonk bars or head to the Grand Ole Opry to see some of the biggest names in country music. You'll want to get yourself down to the Wildhorse Saloon to try out your line dancing steps.

 Day 7 Memphis

Next up it's Memphis, birthplace of the legendary Elvis Presley himself. You can follow in the footsteps of many a musician at the Sun Studio, also known as the home of rock 'n' roll and keep an ear out for some of best blues music on Beale Street.
For a slice of history why not visit the National Civil Right Museum and see the place where Martin Luther King was assassinated.

 Days 8-9 New Orleans

Crossing into Louisiana, we head to a true highlight of the Southern states, New Orleans. Known as the 'Big Easy, it lures travellers to its intoxicating music scene and vibrant nightlife. Experience a combination of French, African and American cultures and sample some of the tastiest Southern cuisine here, from gumbo to jambalaya. Home to the famous Mardi Gras festival, New Orleans will set your senses alive in every way. Dance the night away on Bourbon Street, take a horse and carriage ride through the French Quarter and even opt to try a traditional cookery class. In New Orleans you can also discover the devastating impact Hurricane Katrina had on the town, shop for voodoo dolls or wander down the waterfront.

 Day 10 Louisiana

We have one final night in Louisiana. You have the option to take swamp tour through the traditional Cajun Bayous. Enjoy cruising through the swamps spotting alligators and learning about the Cajun history along the way.

 Days 11-12 Austin

Get your cowboy boots at the ready as we head into the Lone Star State, better known as Texas! Spend two nights in the cultural city of Austin, famous for it's stellar music scene. Known as the 'Live Music Capital of the World', there are plenty of places to watch a band. You can also admire a diverse array of art forms at one of the many exhibitions and museums. Austin also has a huge student population and the nightlife is the best in Texas.
Foodies can choose from one the many food trucks that populate the city each boasting delicious local cuisine from barbecue to lobster rolls.

 Day 13 North Texas

Everything's bigger in Texas' and as we head up to North Texas we have the chance to understand this famous phrase! Staying in Amarillo you have the opportunity to visit the Big Texan Steak Ranch, home to huge portions including the mind-boggling '72oz Challenge'! Loosen your waistbands and enjoy a feast on your final evening in Texas.

 Day 14 Santa Fe

Driving along a small stretch of Route 66, we stop to visit the Cadillac Ranch. This unique roadside attraction is a must-see art installation for anyone driving on this highway. Here you have the chance to leave your mark with a spray can as so many travellers before you have done. After taking plenty of photos we cross into New Mexico, to the historic city of Santa Fe. It is here that you can invest in a traditional pair of cowboy boots or a cowboy hat.. Santa Fe boasts a rich Hispanic culture, reflected in the delicious cuisine and beautiful architecture so head to Bumble Bees for a burrito and head out in the evening to hear some live music.

 Day 15 Monument Valley

Plunge into Navajo culture as we explore Monument Valley. One of the most iconic landscapes in America, it has been immortalised in TV and Film throughout the years. Although it is optional, we highly recommend you take the guided jeep tour, learning about the mysterious Navajo traditions and exploring the back roads of the valley which so few visitors get to experience. A day discovering these famous lands will make you feel like you are in a real 'Wild West' film, and we guarantee these dramatic views will stay in your memory for life.

 Days 16-17 Grand Canyon National Park

From one bucket-list highlight to another, next on our adventure is the breath-taking Grand Canyon. There are lots of options at the Grand Canyon depending on your interests. You can hike around the rim of the canyon, fly over it by helicopter or enjoy a seven hour hike into the canyon to stunning views of the Colorado River.

 Day 18 Lake Powell

Travelling through Arizona we stop at the jaw-dropping Horseshoe Bend. Only a short hike, it is a familiar site and boasts seriously impressive photo opportunities. Once you have got that perfect Instagram-worthy shot we will continue on to Lake Powell. Swim in the refreshing water or relax on the shores watching the world go by.

 Day 19 Zion National Park

It's time to whip out your hiking boots again as we explore Zion National Park, a beautiful and lush park with dramatic cliffs and challenging trails. It is a home to a maze of canyons as well as 2,000 foot Navajo sandstone cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Depending on your arrival time, why not try the challenging hike to Angels Landing for panoramic views of the whole park. The views over the canyon are even more rewarding after navigating the challenging trail all the way to the top.

 Days 20-21 Las Vegas

Swap your hiking shoes for dancing shoes - it's time for Las Vegas! Enjoy an included limo ride down the notorious Vegas Strip to really get a feel for the showbiz vibe. Stop at the Bellagio Fountains and wander around downtown Vegas. Departing the limo, hit up the bars and clubs and dance the night away. Feeling hungry? There are plenty of all-you-can-eat buffet options for you to indulge in. From celebrity shows to glitzy casinos you won't run out of things to do in 'Sin City'. If love has blossomed on the tour you could head to one of the wedding chapels for a non legally binding marriage!

 Day 22 Los Angeles

Our last stop on the adventure is Los Angeles. Walk in the footprints of many celebrities as you check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame for a spot of people watching and a view of that big old Hollywood sign. If you're planning on staying on a few days longer, why not relax in the Californian sunshine on Venice Beach or hit up Rodeo Drive where you can spend your remaining dollars on some seriously luxury goods!
