➕ Day 1 Beijing
Departure from Home country to Beijing.
➕ Day 2 Beijing
Arrival in Beijing and visit to Tiananmen Square en-route to the 4-star Shangri-La Traders Hotel. After time to relax, visit the Ming Temple of Heaven where the Emperors performed annual sacrificial rituals for good harvests. Enjoy a welcome Mongolian Hotpot dinner at Donglaishun Restaurant. (D)
➕ Day 3 Beijing
Visit Jinsong Vocational School-The top vocational school of China to learn how to cook Chinese cuisine. Cook the Chinese lunch for yourself at school. In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, the imperial lakes and resorts created for Empress Cixi. Evening enjoy Imperial cuisine at Fangshan Restaurant which used to be the favourite restaurant for Empress Cixi (BLD)
➕ Day 4 Beijing
Visit the magnificent Forbidden City. Then Drive north to visit the Great Wall at Badaling. Enjoy a traditional Peking Duck dinner. (BLD)
➕ Day 5 Beijing - Xian
In the Morning explore the hutong area of Houhai Lake by rickshaw: visit a local family and enjoy tea ceremony. Enjoy a journey on the bullet train to Xian and transfer to the 4-star (officially 5-star) Titan Times Hotel. or similar. Enjoy famous dumpling dinner at Defachang Restaurant (BLD)
➕ Day 6 Xian
Visit the world-renowned Terracotta Army - 7000 individually crafted life-sized figures, complete with chariots and horses. Afternoon visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Evening dinner and Tang- era music and dance performance. (BLD)
➕ Day 7 Xian - Chengdu
Visit the Ming City Wall and the Hanyanling Museum where the Han 'Lady Warriors' are displayed, before flying to Chengdu and the Tibet Hotel. Enjoy Sichuan Dim Sum dinner tonight (BD)
➕ Day 8 Chengdu
The main theme of the day is a one-day cooking class at local Cooking School-Longquanyi. There, you will learn the basic steps and try some local Sichuan cuisine. Then, visit Sichuan Cuisine Museum to appreciate the history of this famous regional cuisine. (BLD)
➕ Day 9 Leshan
Drive to Leshan and take a cruise to marvel at the magnificent Giant Buddha, hewn from the mountainside in the 8th century, and 233ft high. Back in Chengdu visit the quaint old quarter at Jinli. Enjoy a Sichuan flavour Hotpot dinner at Huangchenglaoma followed by optional Sichuan opera performance. (BLD)
➕ Day 10 Chengdu
This morning see the world's beloved Giant Pandas at the Panda Research Base. Visit the People's Park where the locals practise singing, Tai Chi and Ballroom dancing, walking the Cat Walk, and congregate for serious tea drinking. Join the locals for a taste of after- noon tea. Take the flight to Shanghai and the 4-star Equatorial Hotel or similar. (BL)
➕ Day 11 Shanghai
Visit the Yuyuan Garden and the old Chinese quarter with its colourful bazaar. Enjoy Shanghai Dim Sum at Lvbolang Restaurant. Continue to the Shanghai Tower and the Observation decks to admire bird's eye views of Shanghai. After dinner, there will be an opportunity to take an optional cruise on the Huangpu River to admire the beautifully illuminated Bund and Pudong District. Enjoy the farewell dinner at Xiangqiangfang Restaurant (BLD)
